Reservation Process

How Reserving a DHK Puppy Works

  1. Join the waitlist.
Submit the waitlist form and tell us what you’re looking for, and we’ll help determine which litter and pick position best fits your goals.
  2. Reserve your pick position.
Reservations are made by pick position — 1st pick, 2nd pick, and so on — not by choosing a specific puppy. Your price is tied to your pick number, not to any individual puppy.
  3. Place your deposit.
A $1,000 non-refundable deposit reserves your pick position.
  4. Sign your purchase agreement.
Every DHK puppy is sold under a written Puppy Purchase Agreement. You’ll receive it to review and sign — we don’t take a reservation without one.
  5. Pay your remaining balance.
Your balance is due by the time the puppy reaches 8 weeks of age, or earlier if you select before then. If you’re purchasing a puppy already over 8 weeks old at a set price, the balance is due within 14 days of your deposit.
  6. Choose your puppy.
At around 8 weeks, picks are made in reserved order. You’ll see photos, video, and our honest evaluation of each puppy before you choose.
  7. Take your puppy home.
Your puppy leaves with age-appropriate vaccinations and deworming. Registration paperwork and health records are released once the balance is paid in full.

Things To Know Before You Reserve

  • The deposit is non-refundable. It reserves your pick position and is not returned if you change your mind.
  • If the balance isn’t paid by the due date, the deposit is forfeited and the puppy is released back to available inventory.
  • If you can’t collect on time, a boarding fee of $40 per day applies starting the day after your payment due date, and requires a written boarding agreement made in advance. For pick-based reservations, boarding beyond 12 weeks of age is not guaranteed.
  • Ownership transfers when the puppy is paid in full and in your possession. Until then the puppy remains the property of Drama House Kennels.
  • Shipping and ear cropping are optional and not included in the price. Both are arranged separately and paid in advance.

Financing & Payment

Ways To Pay

We accept Sweet Pay financing, credit or debit card, Zelle, and cash.

Sweet Pay Financing

Financing lets qualified buyers reserve the puppy they want while spreading payments over time through our financing partner.

Sweet Pay is a third-party financing partner. You apply directly with them and receive a decision from them — not from us.

Apply and get approved before your pick is finalized.

Loan terms, interest, and approval decisions are made entirely by the financing partner. Drama House Kennels is not responsible for loan terms or credit decisions.

Whether you finance or pay directly, full payment — including your deposit — must be complete before your puppy leaves our possession.

Other Payment Methods

Card, Zelle, and cash are all accepted. Payment details are provided directly when you reserve.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I reserve a puppy?
Join the waitlist and we’ll be in touch. Once we’ve talked and you’re ready, a $1,000 non-refundable deposit reserves your pick position, and you’ll sign a written purchase agreement. Pick order is honored by the timestamp of confirmed payment and signature.

Am I reserving a specific puppy?
No — you’re reserving a pick position. Your price is tied to your pick number, not to any individual puppy. When the litter is old enough to evaluate, picks are made in reserved order.

Is the deposit refundable?
No. The $1,000 deposit is non-refundable and reserves your pick position.

When is the rest due?
For pick-based reservations, the balance is due by the time the puppy reaches 8 weeks of age — or earlier if you select before then. If you’re buying a puppy already over 8 weeks at a set price, the balance is due within 14 days of your deposit.

What happens if I don’t pay the balance on time?
The deposit is forfeited and the puppy returns to available inventory. If you need more time, a written boarding agreement must be arranged in advance — boarding is $40 per day starting the day after your due date, and for pick-based reservations boarding beyond 12 weeks of age isn’t guaranteed.

What comes with my puppy?
Every puppy goes home with age-appropriate vaccinations and deworming. Registration paperwork and health records are provided once the balance has been paid in full.

When does ownership transfer to me?
Once full payment is received and the puppy is in your possession. Until then the puppy remains the property of Drama House Kennels.

Do I need to see a vet after pickup?
Yes — take your puppy to a licensed veterinarian within 72 hours of pickup or delivery. This matters for your protection as well as ours: if anything is found, that exam is what documents it.

Do you ship?
Yes. Shipping is optional and not included in the puppy’s price — it’s arranged separately.

Do you crop ears?
We can arrange it. Ear cropping is optional, not included in the price, and must be paid in full in advance. It’s a cosmetic elective procedure, and we’re not liable for cosmetic results or recovery complications. If you’d like us to monitor recovery, boarding is $40 per day subject to availability.

Can I board my puppy with you after cropping or past pickup?
Yes, subject to availability and a written agreement, at $40 per day.
